I started coaching professional racers after graduating at The University of Birmingham in 2003. A simple advert placed in the Trials and Motocross News started my career in training British Motocross racers, and within a year I was training a number of top 10 British Championship racers and writing a monthly article for Dirt Bike Rider magazine. This developed to working with Motocross academies, Youth racers and GP racers.
Having been a Pro-Elite Downhill Mountain Bike racer at National level myself, I also then started to work with a number of mountain bike racers, and through this I met a young Danny Hart and started to coach him when he was 15. I was coaching Danny for a number of years through to him becoming Downhill World Champion in 2011.
